Excellent corrosion resistance: Titanium alloys have excellent corrosion resistance to acidic environments containing H ₂ S and CO ₂, seawater, and chlorides, effectively resisting sulfide stress corrosion cracking, pitting corrosion, and hydrogen induced cracking.

Extremely high specific strength: The strength of titanium alloy is more than 1.5 times that of stainless steel, while the density is only 4.5 g/cm ³, which makes the weight of titanium alloy drill pipes only about half of steel drill pipes.
