Kill Manifold

1. Application Purpose

When the wellhead pressure increases, it is able to pump heavy drilling fluid into the well through the kill manifold in order to balance the bottom hole pressure and to prevent the occurrence of well kick and blowout; It is available to use its connected blowout prevention pipes to directly open the well for gushing and release the pressure at the bottom of the well; in addition, it may also apply the squeeze well cementing operation to inject clean water and fire extinguishing agents into the wellhead. By virtue of the kill manifold check valve, the kill fluid or other fluids can only be injected into the well rather than backflow in order to achieve the purpose of killing and other operations.

2. Structure

It is mainly constituted by the one-way valve, pressure gauge, connecting pipes and other components. One end of the Kill Manifold is connected to the four-way coupling, while the other end is connected to the injection pump. The Kill manifold and choke manifold should be designed and used in combination according to the API standard. At present, the pressure level of the kill manifold manufactured by Our Company consists of 14Mpa, 21Mpa, 35Mpa, 70Mpa, 105Mpa and so on.

3. Application Requirements

(1) The working pressure of all pipes, gate valves, check valves, etc., must be in compliance with the working pressure of the adopted BOP combination;

(2) The kill manifold cannot be used as the pipe for daily injection of drilling fluid.
