Design Feature

●Applicable to catheters and surface sleeves above 14". The coupling connection relies on internal and external threads machined on the coupling and tube, eliminating the need for welding.

●The outer diameter of the coupling is the same as API, and the pipe thickness can be API specification or non-API specification. The length of the coupling is also the same as API (105/8 inch or 269.9mm);

●The coarse thread is characterized by a pitch of 3 teeth per inch, a taper of 1:8, a tooth height of 2.1 mm, a load-bearing surface at 90°, a guide surface at 30°, and the tooth top and bottom parallel to the pipe axis. Performance Features

●The threading speed is remarkably fast—using a coarse thread with 3 threads per inch, compared to the 5 threads per inch of API taper threads, achieving a high threading speed.

●High connection efficiency: The thread bearing surface angle is 90°, and the radial component force is zero under tensile load, which makes the joint obtain the maximum connection efficiency.

●The upper thread is easy to engage—its 30° thread guide surface is relatively gentle, facilitating smooth engagement and preventing misalignment, which is advantageous for oilfield operations.

●Easy to identify and prevent misalignment—thread threads are parallel to the pipe axis rather than the generatrix, ensuring accurate identification and eliminating misalignment issues.
